Witchbabe: The Erotic Witch Project 3

Witchbabe: The Erotic Witch Project 3

I haven't seen the two earlier entries in this franchise, but apparently this is a 'prequel'.

It opens with shaky hand-held camera pointed towards a busty blonde wandering through woodlands on a sunny day. The woman, Lora Renee, makes light-hearted banter with a boyfriend (handling the filming off-screen). After a playful strip revealing a very nice pair of pert (enhanced?) breasts and a shaven haven to boot, Lora reveals that th picnic she has prepared for her boyfriend is in actual fact her firm body. What a feast!

Cue camera-perspective shots of the boyfriend humping Lora, until their lovemaking is interrupted when they discover a ridiculously phony corpse beneath some nearby leaves. OK, so this is soft-porn comedy - we knew Savini wouldn't be providing the FX!

And so the credits roll, very stylishly accompanied by atmospheric Omenesque music.

The film then shifts to a journalist wishing to learn more about the corpse - speculated to be the remains of the legendary 'erotic witch'. To learn more about this enigmatic figure, the budding detective (played by Darian Raine) retires to a dark museum to read through the diaries of an inhabitant of the village the witch lived in, circa 1800. And so the bulk of the story unfolds in flash-back.

Bacchusville, 1800: The newly elected mayor addresses the small clan of townsfolk (all the men are inbred freaks; the women - of course - beautiful) in the town square. As the mayor blathers away in his broadly overplayed accent, his wife Martha (or is it Diane? The credits can't seem to agree with the write-up on the back cover! Anyway, she's played by the lovely Laurie Wallace) wanders off into the woods dismayed that her hubbie is too busy these days to cater for her sexual needs.

Settling down for her own picnic, it's seconds before Wallace forgets about food and instead is stripping off and carressing herself sensually. The fun almost ends when a gorilla (!) appears, but luckily local witch Helena (Paige Richards) appears to scare it off. She then turns her attentions to an appreciative Helena, who gives in willingly to the sexual advances of her saviour. And so we're treated to lots of slow nipple-sucking shots, set to a nice throbbing soundtrack. There's a good three minute's worth of soft-core lesbian action to be had here, before Helena brings Martha to a climax with her roaming tongue.

Martha introduces Helena to the community, asking the town to join in her appreciation of the woman that saved her life. The town's celebrations are cut short however by the arrival of the sinister Luther The Mountain man. He scares the townsfolk away and attacks the mayor, but one glare from Helena soon puts Luther on his back. Quite what Luther has to do with anything in this film is a mystery, although I suppose the mayor does become suspicious about Helena at this point!

Next up, the movie jumps episodically to a series of lesbian seductions that move the plot forward at a frantic pace. Helena seduces two young girls (Lucy and Amy - the latter played by the ever-alluring Misty Mundae) for a bit of three-way outdoor lesbo action. Martha makes improper advances on Julian Wells, and then the local headmistress. Helena appears during this last tryst, adding to the smooth flesh-on-flesh scenario. Expect lots of hard mipples here, and a very eager Helena going South on the teacher!

Back in the present, the lovely journalist Raine is getting increasingly hot under the collar while reading Martha's steamy diary. So much so, she decides to remove her blouse, glasses and hairpin. Great stuff - she's a gorgeous looking latino-type babe.

Shifting time almost as often as Guy Pearce does in the latest piece of Hollywood crap, we're suddenly catapulted back to 1800. The mayor is horrified to discover that the female population of his backwoods town have turned into raving nympho lesbians. his puritan virtues challenged, he ties Helena to a stake and threatens to burn her as a witch. Fortunately as he spits his diatribe towards a bemused audience, the gorilla appears once more - this time to untie the muxom Richards. Freed from her constraints, the witch agrees to leave Bacchusville forever - but invites anyone brave enough, to follow her into the woods for the promise of a sexually enlightened life. Naturally, the whole town follow!

The film's finale is a lesbian sex-fest that involves all the female characters writhing naked across Richards' torso, tasting the fruits of her nipples and shaven beaver in a scene that leasts at last five minutes.

And just in case you thought you'd missed out, the epilogue allows time for Raine to finally get naked, and even to pair off with the ever reliable Debbie Rochon. Rock on!

Although the action on offer is never hardcore, the female cast do seem totally enthusiastic about getting it on with each other. The light-hearted (make that dumb) script adds fun to proceedings: if you can imagine a film occupied by Troma characters and plentiful titillating girl-on-girl action (remove the sex and this film would be about 25 minutes long!!) then you're almost there.

The film looks great. Apart from the opening hand-held shots, the rest of the film is thankfully filmed conventionally and therefore will not have you reaching for the barf-bags through sheer dizziness a'la the original BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Sound is mono and reliably hiss-free.

Extras include a brief Behind The Scenes featurette that highlights the light-hearted nature of the shoot, and also provides glimpses of the fat guys behind the camera who tell the naked young girls what to do! There's trailers for no less than 8 films - including PLAY-MATE OF THE APES and VAMPIRE VIXEN, and a weblink.
