UFOs DO NOT EXIST

UFOs DO NOT EXIST

The year is 2012, the place is London. On a balmy summers evening, the Olympic stadium is filled to capacity. The world is watching when.... an extra terrestrial attack is witnessed live on TV by millions! The casualties dwarf 9/11. Something has to be done. All nations unite to fight back. The 'New World Order' is voted in. Planet Earth is now a utopian micro-chipped society, with a one world government, army and currency - electronic of course.

What you are reading is not the synopsis for an upcoming new Sci-Fi blockbuster, but a bold prediction made by Ian Crane during his "Fool Me Once" DVD. It was one of many conspiracy presentations that started to evolve after the terrorist attacks in New York and London.

Conspiracy theories have multiplied considerably since the days of Lee Harvey Oswald and alleged fake moon landings. It seems nothing is safe these days, from the vaccines doctors routinely hand out to babies to the music our teenagers listen too. (Apparently Rihanna is in a league with Baphomet and on her way to Hell-a, Hell-a, Hell-a..!)

With 2012 soon approaching, the 'Truth Movement' and 'Awakening' on planet Earth has never been more in vogue. A DVD distribution company, Reality Entertainment, seem very aware of this. Their catalogue of documentary DVD's cover a diverse range of fascinating subjects including, 2012, New World Order, Freemasons and even Chewbacca's distant cousin in the classically named "Bigfoot is Real"!

But there is one consistent theme that has been an ever present in the conspiracy theorists universe. The existence of Unidentified Flying Objects - and the world wide Government's denial and cover up on matters from outer space.

The sarcastically titled, "UFO's DO NOT EXIST" refers to the US Government's official stance on such phenomena. With the back cover boasting a whopping running time of 250 minutes, I pressed play and wondered whether the word "theory" would finally be severed once and for all severed from the word 'conspiracy'...

The presentation is produced and narrated by a gentleman called Bill Knell who has been investigating UFO sightings for over 30 years. A competent UFO investigator MR Knell might be, but a filmmaker he is not! The first thing that struck me was the poor production of the disc. The monotonous narration sounded like it was coming via a telephone line. But when a webcam still of Knells head accompanied his introduction, I began to fear this going to be a gruelling 4 hours or so!!

Within the first few minutes of the documentary the sound fluctuated between Bill's muffled narration and the potential speaker blowing distortion of some Air Force radio snippets. The visual content was also fairly uninspiring being predominantly made up of stills. There were a few blurry shots of vintage home movie footage, but nothing that hasn't previously turned up on mainstream TV over the years. Basically, the production value was not so much poor as completely bankrupt!

Given the low standard of presentation, you may be surprised to learn the DVD did still make compelling viewing. If, like I, your knowledge of all things Extra Terrestrial is minimal, the movie served as a great introduction to some bizarre mysteries that originate from planets other then our own. At the very least, it offers a shortlist of subjects that could be further researched by intrigued individuals. From extra terrestrials being responsible for the leaps in technology the Nazis employed in WW2, to the US Government's experimentation with time travel in the Montauk project, some weird and wonderful topics are discussed.

There was the odd classic quote from 'Uncle Webcam', such as "Reliable UFO witnesses stated….." (So much better then those unreliable witnesses eh?!). Or the 'conclusion' the some incredible claims started with "It is my theory that…". Damn that word 'theory'! I guess the truth will have to remain 'out there' for a little while longer.

It's also not often I am slightly relieved at being mislead by a DVD's packaging, but when the documentary ended after 120 minutes NOT the printed 250 minutes I wasn't about to complain. My final negative regarding the production of the disc the fact that it was a 'un-chaptered' 2 hours. Given the different issues investigated within the presentation, along with the viewer, perhaps, wanting to go back at a later time and re-examine some of the information, this was yet another shoddy piece of manufacturing.

View this disc with an open mind and it could well stoke up some interest in the subject of outer space phenomena, but it did occur to me whether or not an evening spent on You Tube might bring the same results.

While it is always quite alarming to read about Governments blatantly lying to the public, at least we live in a climate where information like this can be circulated without persecution. Just look at that 'tiger blood' guzzling hero Charlie Sheen..

Months after questioning the official story of 9/11, dear old Chas was labelled a crank and washed up on a beach made of cocaine with Bree Olson as a house pet!! If that is the way the Governments treat their detractors, I am heading down to Hyde Park with a megaphone quicker then you can say "Reptillian Shapeshifter!"
